Tesla Model 3 Unveiled by Elon Musk
Tesla Model 3 Unveiled by Elon Musk – Yes, it happened yesterday. The long awaited cheap electric car, the Tesla Model 3 has been unveiled. With more than 24 hours before the event, people were queuing in order to get the chance to pre-order a Model 3.
The event was opened by Franz von Holzhausen, who thanked his team for the great work they’ve done so far, and welcomed the CEO of Tesla on stage. Elon talked about environment, Tesla vision over the world, explained how everything started, all the stages they’ve been through. Musk then thanked everyone who payed for the Model S and Model X, helping Tesla to develop the Model 3, an affordable electric car.
Tesla Model 3 Price
The starting price for Tesla Model 3 will be 35000$, this means the price can go much high, if you want many options and features. The most important part is, they will install the hardware on the car, but you will not have access to all the features and options, unless you pay for them. So let’s say you will buy a 35000$ car, but after a while, you want an upgrade, this will be possible only by an software upgrade on the car.
Tesla Model 3 Performance
Depending on what you want, and how much money you want to pay, you can get a faster Model 3, or a slower one. Elon Musk stated: “We don’t do slow cars at Tesla”. A slow Model 3 will get from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 6 seconds. Of course, faster versions will be available.
Tesla Model 3 Range
The minimum range of the Model 3 will be 215 miles, or around 365 km. This is actually a decent range for a 35000$ car. The range can be improved, but you’ll have to pay more, to get a better range. The car will support super fast charger option, and Musk stated they will double the number of chargers in the world by the end of 2017.
