Nintendo surprises us with the NES Classic Mini

While the whole world expectes news about the NX, the codename for the upcoming Nintendo gaming console, the Japanese company surprised everyone by announcing another console. It’s the Nintendo Mini Classic: Nintendo Entertainment System, a miniaturized and modernized version of the classic NES console, which made history in the 80s and early 90s.

The new Nintendo Mini Classic : Nintendo Entertainment System will be a small,  miniaturized console wich will be able to be held with one hand. The new mini NES will not provide a reader for classic NES cartridges, but the console will have no less than 30 classic games preinstalled . Here is the list of titles included in this selection :

  • Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest™
  • Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Dr. Mario
  • Excitebike
  • Galaga™
  • Ice Climber
  • Kid Icarus

  • MEGA MAN™ 2
  • Metroid
  • PAC-MAN™
  • Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
  • StarTropics
  • SUPER C™
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Tecmo Bowl™
  • The Legend of Zelda Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

The Nintendo Mini Classic Package: Nintendo Entertainment System will include , in addition to the console, an HDMI cable and a classic NES controller at a recommended selling price equivalent to $ 60.

For titles that can be played in dual screen multiplayer will be offered a second connector controller with support for a second such device. The Mini NES controller will be sold separately at a price equivalent to about $10. These controllers can be used on Wii and WiiU to play classic titles offered via the Virtual Console Program.

The Nintendo Mini Classic : Nintendo Entertainment System will be available from November 11, 2016 at a price equivalent to $ 60.
