Android 7 ( Nougat ) is set to be released in Q3 2016 but it can already be downloaded by Nexus users to be tested in Beta.
Meanwhile handset manufacturers are preparing to announce what phones will receive the update to Android 7 ( Nougat ). Below we compiled a list of phones that will be upgraded to the new OS. The list will be updated throughout.
HTC today officially announced on Twitter that HTC 10, HTC One M9 and HTC One A9 will be the company’s first phones that will receive this update.
It is rumored that LG will bring Android 7 on the next models: LG V10, LG G5 and LG G4. LG is in a more special relationship with those from Google,so chances are it will be the very first phone manufacturer in the world to start installing the update, or at least this is was the hint they made at the Google I/O conference, where they were on stage.
Samsung will most likely upgrade to Android 7 in July the following models: Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge and probably Notes 7, which will be released soon.
Nexus phones and tablets from 5X up will receive Android 7.
Sony will most likely update the entire Xperia 5 series and X series, Z3+ and Z4 Tablet.
