China is now the capital of the world’s billionaires. For the first time, wealthy Americans are overwhelmed

The number of billionaires in the world increased by 99, last year reaching a record of 2,188 – most new entries in this exclusive ranking are from China.

According to Business Insider, citing the Hurun Global Rich List, 90 of the new billionaires are coming out of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, raising the number of Chinese billionaires to 568.
In this way, China overtook the US, which has 535 billionaires. Net income resulting from the Chinese  billionaires is worth 1.4 trillion dollars. Despite the global economic slowdown, the wealth of super rich people in the world rose by 9% to 7.3 trillion.

Michael Bloomber, the ex-mayor of New York, is now in top 10 with 37 billion dollars. Still, the richest man on the planet is the co-founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, with 80 billion dollars, followed by Warren Buffet on the 2nd place, with 68 billion dollars.
